We analyzed 68 studies out of over 7,000 records using quantitative and qualitative methods. Our review revealed a lack of research on the relationship between political polarization and problematic information and a shortage of theoretical consideration of these phenomena. Additionally, US samples and Twitter and Facebook were frequently analyzed. The review also found that surveys and experiments were commonly used, with polarization significantly predicting problematic information consumption and sharing.","source_name":"Front Sociol","source_issn":null,"volume":null,"issue":null,"first_page":null,"last_page":null,"language":"en","url":"https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC10213760/","is_relevant":true,"thesis_level":null,"title_tr":"Siyasi kutuplaşma ile problemli bilgi arasındaki ilişkileri yedi yıl boyunca inceleyen bir çalışma: bir literatür incelemesi.","license_code":"CC-BY","license_url":null,"doi_status":"unknown","doi_last_checked":null,"merged_at":null,"lens_id":"119-686-457-086-006","patent_cited_by_count":null,"oa_colour":"Gold","created_at":"2026-05-14T09:55:30.182208+03:00","updated_at":"2026-05-15T12:54:23.805954+03:00","publisher":null,"merged_into":null}
