To withstand extreme fire conditions, it is important for the external walls of these safe rooms to have excellent fire resistance. This research study successfully developed lightweight aggregate masonry blocks with enhanced fire resistance, specifically designed for constructing walls in bushfire safe rooms and buildings located in bushfire-prone areas.
